BBSN at FILEY 2026 – Bringing Belizean Books to Mérida
The Belize Book Sector Network was proud to participate in FILEY 2026 in Mérida, Mexico, one of the region’s largest literary events. Over the course of its eight days, the fair attracted a huge crowd, well exceeding 100,000 attendees, creating a vibrant space for readers, writers, and publishers to connect.
Beyond the book fair, FILEY featured a rich programme of author talks, panel discussions, concerts, dance performances, workshops, and more, making it a true celebration of the arts. At our booth, we showcased a range of Belizean titles, and many visitors expressed a genuine interest in learning more about Belize and its literature.
We are grateful for the opportunity to represent Belize on this regional stage. We extend our thanks to all who visited the booth, shared conversations, and showed support, and a special appreciation to the volunteers whose time and dedication made our presence possible. We look forward to returning to FILEY next year.
