Book Week 2026

Book Week 2026: Celebrating Belizean Literature

The Belize Book Sector Network (BBSN) is proud to announce that Book Week 2026 will take place in Belize City from 22–24 April 2026. This three-day celebration of books, writing, and literary culture will bring together authors, publishers, librarians, educators, and readers for a dynamic and engaging programme of events.

The tentative line-up includes author talks, book launches, panel discussions, workshops, and a special Literary Evening. Featured sessions will explore topics such as youth writing, indie publishing in Belize, Kriol literary heritage and oral tradition, copyright and artificial intelligence, professional editing skills, and future funding for literary projects. Guest authors and facilitators from Belize and abroad are scheduled to participate, with opportunities for audience questions and interaction throughout the week.

Workshops will cater to both young writers and industry professionals, including a Youth Writing Lab, sessions on copyright and AI, virtual book events, research databases, and editing skills.

While this schedule is tentative and additional details will be announced soon, Book Week 2026 promises to be an exciting opportunity to celebrate Belize’s vibrant literary community and strengthen connections across the book sector.

Stay tuned for further updates, including confirmed venues and additional speakers. We look forward to welcoming you to Belize City in April.
