As we prepare for this year’s Book Week, organised by the Belize Book Sector Network (BBSN), we are inviting new members to join our growing community and encouraging existing members to renew their membership.

Book Week will be held in Belize City, with events taking place in libraries across the country. It promises to be a vibrant celebration of Belizean literature, reading, and creativity — and we would love for you to be part of it.

Whether you are a writer, editor, illustrator, audiobook narrator, publisher, bookseller, printer, librarian, educator, or simply passionate about books, the BBSN exists to support and connect everyone involved in Belize’s book sector.

Both new and existing members are asked to complete our online registration form and pay their annual membership fee:

Be Featured on Our Community

One of the benefits of BBSN membership is the opportunity to be showcased on the Our Community page of our new website. This directory highlights the talented individuals and organisations shaping Belize’s literary landscape.

As a valued member, we invite you to be featured. To ensure the directory remains current, listings are open to all full members who have paid their dues for the year.

Information Requested for Featured Profiles

• Brief Bio: A short paragraph about yourself and your creative journey (100–150 words).

• Condensed Portfolio:

  • Writers: A brief bibliography of published works.

  • Illustrators/Photographers/Artists: 3–5 sample images of your work.

  • Publishers/Booksellers: A list of collections, services, or your bookstore.

• Contact Details: Your professional email address and a link to your website, portfolio, or social media account.

• Profile Image: A high-resolution portrait photo (for individuals) or a logo (for businesses or organisations).

• Upcoming Work (Optional): Book launches, exhibitions, or readings that we can feature on our Events page.
